SAMPLE TSG ELEMENT STANDARDS/POLICIES
Listed below are sample Safety Group standards/policies to help you get started on developing your element standards (Step 1 to managing health and safety). You will need to customize them to make them specific to your workplace. Simply click on the element link to access the document.
Note: The sample element standards/policies have been created to give you a starting point and do not necessarily meet all Safety Group Program requirements and/or legislative obligations. Please ensure you refer to the WSIB 2008 Employer Guideline 3rd Edition, Safety Groups Program Element List (pages 20-42) to verify that your standards meet the requirements set therein.
If your firm has selected to work on a TSG element (bolded), your firm will be required to set its own written standards (step 1) that meet at least minimum legislative requirements (where applicable) and ensure steps 2-5 (managing health and safety) are also documented.
