Thank you for your interest in the Safe Worker
Recognition Program that runs from January 1st to December 31st
of each year.
In order to qualify:
After the first year, the employee must have worked injury free
(with no compensable accident) and been a full-time employee for
your calendar year.
After the first year, just add each subsequent accident free year
to the first year. If a worker has a two-year pin and then has
an accident during the third year, but is accident free during
the fourth year, the worker would then qualify for a three-year
pin.
If the employer wishes to go back to when the worker first started
with the company that is acceptable. Also, if the worker has worked
at another company and can prove that he has not had a workers
compensation claim, these years can be added as well
The cost of the Safe Worker Recognition pins this year is $5.50
plus G.S.T.
Broken pins will be replaced at no charge providing the face of
the pin is returned to our office. There is a $5.00 or 20% restocking
fee for returned surplus pins.
Each worker receives an individual number that remains the same
for as long as the worker participates in our award program.
An enrollment form is attached. This
should be completed and returned to Transportation Health & Safety
Association. The Association will forward the number of pins
required for eligible workers and wallet cards, along with an
invoice to the company. Please complete the Enrolment
Form listing
the names who qualify for a Safe Worker Recognition Award.
