Thank you for your interest in the Safe
Driver Recognition Program, which runs from January 1st to December
31st of each year.
In order to qualify:
For the first year, the employee must have driven accident free
and been a full-time employee for 75% of YOUR calendar year.
After the first year, just add each subsequent accident free year
to the first year. If a driver has a two-year pin and then has
an accident during the third year, but is accident free during
the fourth year, the driver would then qualify for a three-year
pin.
If the employer wishes to go back to when the driver first started
with the company that is acceptable. Also, if the driver has worked
at another company and can prove that he has not had a preventable
accident, these years can be added as well.
There are no administrative fees for this program. The cost of the Safe Driver Recognition pins this year is $5.50 plus G.S.T. All drivers are put into our computer system, but you only pay for the drivers who are eligible and receiving pins. Each driver receives a wallet card, pin, and for every five years of service - a complimentary crest . A complimentary pen & pencil set is given at twenty-five years.
Broken pins will be replaced at no charge providing the face of
the pin is returned to our office. There is a $5.00 or 20% restocking
fee for returned surplus pins.
Each driver receives an individual number that remains the same
for as long as the driver participates in our recognition program.
An enrollment form is attached. This should be completed and returned to Transportation Health and Safety Association. The Association will forward the number of pins required for eligible drivers and wallet cards, along with an invoice to the company. Please complete the Enrollment Form listing the drivers who qualify for a Safe Driver Recognition Award.
